2012 Festival:

Post flood hayfield reconstruction took us forever....but we got the lower half done in time for 2012. The festival area was cleared and flat by July 7, 2012. We planted nearly one ton of seed......and then had a drought. But, as I always like to say,"Providence is not just a town in Rhode Island"...the grass slowly began to grow and so did our hopes of keeping our festival going. Calamity struck again when volunteer bands, "Granny's Hot Sauce" and the "Woedoggies" cancelled shortly before the show.....BUT...... A merry band of fine musicians known as "LuLu and the Shoemakers" had come up from downcountry simply to attend our festival.......They rescued us by filling in those empty spots onstage along with Missisquoi River Band....and wouldn't take their money back. We will never forget the "Bluegrass Flash Mob" they brought with them that day. Everyone followed behind the man wearing "The Big Pants" in a down home version of a conga line. It was so good for Randy and I to smile again. Our thanks to you one and all for being there for us....especially the bands listed in our Flyer below.-HK
